Sony WIM files

Hi, does anyone here know how I can remove the Nvida graphics driver from the WIM? The chip I think is blown so I want to install without that driver. It should use the Intel driver then and run
When it installs the Nvida thing it just locks up the graphics and you cant read the display. Have spoken with Sony but they don't want to know
Thanks in advance, surely someone here knows....
BTW anyone know where JMI has gone to???

Window imaging format files can be mounted using windows automated installation kit available from Microsoft website. I haven't touched those tools in last 4 years(Last i used them was when they launched vista). There was a 3rd party GUI tool(as a companion of Imagex.exe) available as well just to mount WIM files but forgot the name(it was long ago)

hobferret, have you tried to open the WiM archive with sevenzip...????
Then you can rebuild your bootable DvD with Ultraiso...

OK folks got it working, did not have the winfltr.sys driver loaded. The GUI program is Gimagex but still prefer imagex.
Next question, I have found all references to Nvidia 8400, do I just delete them of is there a config file somewhere to tell it what to do
Never done any of this before and there is not much info out there on the web either
Any help will really be appreciated, thanks in advance................

i dont have much information about how drivers are actually installed apart from they are copied to the drivers folder along with a registry at registry hive. I was looking at the thread at technet about how to service a vhd image offline
You can just remove the associated .inf file from drivers folder and clean up the Nvidia folder at program files.
For proper fixing, i will suggest you to install a fresh copy from the backup made by your pc manufacturer, remove the nvidia driver and run sysprep from "\Windows\System32\" . then take an offline backup image using imagex.
Goodluck

@hobferret:
Hi,

In case of, you can't use Windows XP and less with WIM filter. Vista or more is necessary.

Regards.
