Plugin loading problem of using ollydbg
I'm not sure it's an intended problem (I mean some kinds of anti-debugger tricks).
When I launced ollydbg, the plugin is not activated in ollydbg 1.1 as well as latest v2. From the log window and tracing the loading process of dll loading, I found that only the dlls of plugin are failed to load. More in detail, the dll is tried to be mapped at some memory address, and it failed and then the reserved memory is released. This problem is only happened to a certain pc protected by PC managing tool at working place. Actually, ollydbg can not be run as itself, but it can be run by renaming the original file name, followed by packing by some packers. The PC managing tool use lots of hooks at user level as well as kernel level. And it is packed by themida. I'm not sure the dll loading problem is related to this managing tool. How can I trace the ollydbg plugin loading? Is there any exported or imported function to initiate or check the plugin dll (in terms of version..)? |
