Hi everyone!

Started reversing long time ago to develop game cheats when i was young. Later i used that knowledge in the warez industry back in the 90’s…
Now after more then 20 years later i use reversing in my current job on a daily basis.
Will try to contribute as much as i can here on the forum .

Hello, I'm happy to come here. I am a curious person with some knowledge of reversing. Lately I look for the texts of adventure video games to translate them. My challenge is to get it done in MSDOS. I also know how to program and I have created some other decrypter.

I want to learn with the best. Thanks for the invitation.

well to introduce myself there is not match to say. I am in reversing couple of years now glad to be here!!!!

introduction

Hi,

I'm a long time IDA Pro user, reversing a lot of m68k ROM images and x86/x64 stuff just for fun.

I'm relatively new at how to understand how licensing like FlexLM works and how to generate my own keys for an obsolete product.

In my profession I'm a C/C++ Unix/Windows software engineer.

Hi guys thanks for the invite. My name is Zen (zeneq at times) and I'm more into the security scene than reversing but I have found myself spending (investing?) more time with reversing lately so have cracked a bunch of stuff - mostly security tools since that's what I'm into. It's been easy stuff without much protection - xray, nexpose, readyapi, ciscat, cerbero, some utilities, and a lot of private things usually because the installer was private. I've been helping h0nus with his t.me/pwn3rzs channel and someone there mentioned exetools in context of malcat - they were saying how the scene (exetools thread mentioned) tried to crack it (malcat) but couldn't etc.. which I think upon reading the thread here was not exactly true to the situation - really seems more like the author is here and being cool to everyone so everyone sort of backed off on showing the crack, doesn't mean it couldn't be done. (I got it pretty far myself, analyzing, but no mine didn't complete the analysis)

Anyway I think for the most part I am fairly well Zen and helpful and have an well developed sense of justice so I like to see people get credit where it's due, things like that. Ok have a nice day :)

TechEx 08-20-2022 03:09

Hi guys, I recently joined this forum. I’m a member of other reversing forums for a long time, but was not active in the field from the last 8/9 years and moved to the Internet marketing field to earn bread and butter for my family and made a tremendous success in it. Now I’m back and started learning what’s new and what has changed.

Thank you Aaron for the invite.

Have a nice day :)

rceArchivist 08-22-2022 01:05

hello

Hey everyone! I've been interested in reversing since the gamecopyworld days (maybe 2000), but just started really making progress learning things thanks to online video tutorials. I'm a big fan of video tuts and some day hope to make some of my own to help consolidate lots of the information that seems so hard to find (and seems to be disappearing from the internet! - even with internet archive).

I read the rules and will absolutely not leak any info, but I do like collecting / archiving / protecting cracking tutorials and crackmes since they seem to disappear all the time from the internet - even though I also understand that certain techniques and sources need to be protected so that they are not circumvented.

As I currently write this, I've only cracked probably 50 or so proggies (and keygen'd my very first proggie - which afaik never had a keygen for it). I'm currently really interested in unpackers even if they seem way above my experience level right now. Gotta start somewhere!

Anyways, I've been a lurker of the exetools forums for probably 12 or so years and this is my first venturing out into the cracking landscape. I really appreciate all of your guys/gals dedication to freeing software and furthering reversing knowledge and I'm honored to be able to post here. Thank you all (:

Daz Hat 08-23-2022 14:29

Hello All
I'm new to this site and looking to expand my techniques of reverse engineering, I enjoy looking at the code of others and altering them for my own goals. Like many of you once you start to work on a packer or protector you can’t stop to until you do it. Working till the early hours or until the Mrs tells you to stop. Looking forward to working, learning and solving many puzzles you guys/girls.

Hi All,

Long time since i last posted anything anywhere on internet. Been busy with life.
But trying to be back and little more active while trying to gain more new knowledge.
I have been dabbling in reversing here and there, doing PHP reversing (I owned ECHO group).
So good to be back and hope to stay longer

Hello everybody, thank you for the invite code

I really appreciate well I'm going to introduce myself

I'm known in a certain community of gamers as PICwarior381#2018 which is basically my discord name

I'm 26 years old, I do not have much experience to be honest with you guys but I have basic knowledge of C#

There's a game called "Dofus" well this is the community of gamers where basically I'm a little bit known, I have cracked like 6 bots and made them free and basically crashed their entire business

Out of those 6 bots only 1 is still standing but because of what I've done to them they decided to put their bots for free

Very recently I cracked a Remote Administration Tool no harm was done, spoke to the dev and fixed the issue and gave me 100$ BTC for it lmfao

I decided to come over here so I can learn more ways to deobfuscate tools and be more experienced basically

Thank you everyone once again for the invite code :)

Hi all, happy to finally be here.

Was very active on another forum that seems to have shutdown now.

Maintaining a few patchers (SmartAssembly, ScreenConnect, DisplayFusion, Brady, Resharper and some others), if anyone is interested let me know what the right place is (haven't seen everything here yet).

Hoping to progress to non C#/.NET cracking one day, can only do basic stuff outside of it for now.

Blackbird 12-27-2022 03:08

Hi all. Appreciate the invite.

I'm new to RE and disassembly but am fairly proficient at writing code, primarily ANSI C and a bit of C++. I understand IA32 but not proficient by any stretch. I'm interested in RE out of necessity, as I have a bunch of older (affordable) electronic test equipment that I use as a hobby and it's gotten to the point where it is all non-support and I'd like to keep it going. Expired programing codes/licenses, incompatibility with newer computers, corrupt/dead hard-drives, missing dongles. etc. I'm primarily interested in older stuff in the Win32/IA32/x86 genre, circa 2000-2015. May need to do some x64 RE but mostly x86. Nothing cutting edge here, and I suspect my main problem will be digging through the archives to find some older tools.

0xDA7B01 01-22-2023 04:27

Hello everyone,

I'm new at reversing, but due to work I happen to know a bit of asm (ARM and x86). I am mostly interested in old software (WinXP era and before) and viruses.

Nice to meet y'all!

Hey

Hey all! IT Admin here. Came here to following Arlecho from another forum. They really do some good work.
I don't have much experience, but I am trying to learn.

I am going crazy in my current IT Network Admin/Security job, and am trying to get into something less stressful!

Anyone can feel free to DM me. :D

Best to all!

Hello Guys.

Im very proud to be invited to this community. I don't have enough experience in Reversing as I wish. I did 12 years ago the OSCE certification, I didnt do OSCP.

I work as a Pentester, but I hate running tools over and over again. I like to make my own tools, my own software. I like to code to understand technologies, Im not the kind of guy to download and run github POCs (Well Sincerely when in my job the times are little I do).

I like to read in my free time about OS.Internals, I love fuzzing, and recreating Vulnerabilities. Im working hard on studding and making time to resolve crack mes. I love the fuzzy feeling when you finally understand a program. Love differing Windows Updates , and check fixes.

Im searching for a community that I can share my progress , Im not asking for anything I dont deserve. Im here to stay humble, learn and HAVE FUN.

Hi, I'm newish to RE, but I'm working on it!!
I'm learning unpacking at present, and like forensic apps and collect them

I was told this morning that the forum was open to registration, so came on over as i have viewed the site a few times but that was just viewing and not interacting

Hello all! I am Gregory Morse.
I was interested in computers from a very small age. It all started when my father cracked and restored my score for a small video game which crashed taking my hard earned points with it.

After that I was fascinated and immersed myself in the dark world of cracking software.

At this point in time I consider myself to be relatively expert in the field of encryption. I will be happy to help anyone who has questions.

Hello dear reversers!

I have been into reverse engineering x86 windows binaries for a long time. And still learning. I also have some enthusiasm on waves and analyzing them;)

It is really nice to be on deck!
