If the program you wanna debug come with source and this source is C/C++, you should stick to GDB.

If you do not have the luxury of having the source, I would definetely use Fenris... It is a real shame that it does not exist for Win32 OSs :(

you can use IDA or you can serch for LINICE debugger

It's a pity that Fenris can't recognize my libc prolog when compiling it.
I'm using RedHat 9.

LinICE is pretty good and also open source. It is similar to SoftICE.

Use it!

Does it support remote debugging?
I need a debugger which can work in Xvnc or SSH console. GDB has some bug which will lead to wrong calling stack printing after coredump in multi-threaded programs without source code.

you can also use ALD if you're just debugging normal codes.

It's tiny,and easy to use.
