This is sad. Before selling off database containing private details of their users they must at least allow them to delete off their private messages and some sensitive posts!

I agree. The users that in past trusted the site in years not necessarily would have the same opinion of a new shady owner.

exelab.ru is indeed dead. Fortunately, besides my mailbox, I did not leave much other private information, and all other information was deleted.

Remember the time I use to browse their site for some info without ever registering. I didnt how to register since I dont understand the language. But I manage to get the info I want but now I forgot what info I was searching.:p

Yup, looks like it's down for good. It was a fishy story from the start actually. Even moderators didn't know anything until it happened, like one day ooops, and the site is sold. Of course it's up to the founder from legal point of view, but I also think there is a... something like social point of view where it'd be good at least to tell people who you work with what's going on. Besides as far as I know noone really knows who the site was sold to exactly. They were trying to paint themselves white and yet provided no info of who they are. Personally I don't think the site is trustworthy anymore even if it goes back up. So R.I.P., exelab.
