Seems like the development is halted, or even discontinued :(

Between the release of version 1.10 and 2.0, there was a similar period of activity decline on the ollydbg website. Since ollydbg seems to be a hobby for the author, I assume he only has the opportunity continue development during his free time. I suppose that is why new version releases occur very seldomly. I believe that the author would at least make an anouncement on the website if development were discontinued. If he were to cease development of ollydbg, I hope he would choose to release the source code so others can continue development of the "perfect" ring 3 debugger. ;)

I think the most needed is OllyDBG for X64,truely a must for X64 reversing.

I found that od 2.0 has improved a lot compared with od1.1, maybe the author doesn't have enough time to keep developing the ollydbg.
Hope the author will publish the new od2.0 plugin support sdk quickly :)

i hope the author will publish his work on github under GPL and help a lot of people, this will be good vector to x64 version

@ mm10121991 The combination of Bochs and IDA makes a very good x64 reversing environment. I've never seen a need for IDA.

may be you have right
but, for someone who did not used to reverse with IDA and used to reverse with olly can be quite annoying

I used mostly Ida for Applying signatures and exporting map files and rarely I do
use IDA for usual reversing. May be I am wrong

Obviously I meant "I've never seen a need for Olly" and not "I've never seen a need for IDA."

i hope the author will publish his real plugins version

Yep, x64 version is a must, more applications are migrating to x64 and leaving x32 behind.
WinDbg64 can be a solution but kind-of unfamilliar to use.

we can't get normal v2.0 x86, we can't even speak about x64

I don't believe that Oleh will do that, he sold source code to Immunity and if he were to cease development the source would still have a price tag, something which we can hardly argue.
