Misunderstanding of Rules - Need Clarity

Hi @chessgod101 and @zenix

I have recently received infraction for asking mirror, then finding it and posting it and then edited my post to ask admins or mods to delete it because i know it is against rules.

But the infraction i received here:
https://forum.exetools.com/showthread.php?t=20315

This is not against rules or am i misunderstanding them.

i have posted my justification in above thread. Please help me with the clarification

thanks.

Read rule 4 here: https://forum.exetools.com/misc.php?do=cfrules
"Do not request external mirrors for attachments which you do not have permission to download."

So there is a rule prohibiting asking for external links for attachments for which you do not have permissions to download.

Probably because you did not read the rules before posting?

(Sorry, I am not trying to be admin or anything. I am just trying to help with clarification)

I saw that and I edited my post. How does that entail infraction. Coz u reported my old post not edited one.

No... This is my actual reported post:

Also, I have nothing against you in particular. I just clicked "report" on the post where an user asked for the attached file to be uploaded to external host. In fact, I did not even see who the actual poster was...
When we click on the report button, the actual content in that post gets reported as can be seen from my link above.
