Execryptor and C++ V8 runtime error maybe ahmadmansoor
Hi everyone, gotten a program in C++ V8 have unpacked it using evolutions essay. No problems at all unpacking the darn thing but when it runs always get a R6002 floating point runtime error.
I even unpacked it with one of the "unpackers" and still get the same thing  Anyone any idea :) Have posted this on tuts 4u too but no significant answers. I think our friend ahmadmansoor may know something about this, he's younger than us old dead grey matter members :D |
it's RTL problem, it's checking pe-sections attributes, just put breakpoint on pe-header twice and you will see this checks

I agree with Av0id ...but my friend pls try to check the IAT ...i don't know some times when u fix the IAT ,some IAT which back to C++ V8 not fixed very will and give this problem ....i don't remember the API which always make this problem ..when back to home i will try to check it .....anyway can u till us the name of ur program ..
note :many thanks for ur nice word ..but i still a neboy ...and the old people here still the best who i know him like u may friend ..all member here is the best of the net . |
Hi again, I believe the IAT is right as I used EXECryptor 2.x IAT rebuilder by PE_Kill / REVENGE CREW v 1.9 and entered the IAT start & end values, so to be honest I have discarded the IAT being wrong. Have also checked the stack return values to where the program decides it has an error but any changes there just cause the program to terminate.
The program is attached here if anyone can help I would appreciate it :D Well actually the file is not attached it's taking too long to upload it. Will send PM to ahmadmansoor with target and see how the King of Damascus gets on with it :D |
