IDA and Vista
Hi,
I just moved to Vista and when I run IDA Pro 5.2 I get a "Failed to set data for" error. Then I get an "eaccess violation" and cannot continue. The 64-bit executable works fine but I don't know if it is supposed to be that way (i.e. The 64-bit is to be used on Vista) or there's a fix for the 32-bit version. |
Hi!, I'm running Ida pro 5.2 in Vista x64 and no problems. All OK. Try to click on Run as admin in the Ida icon. Mine runs fine so try in a clean Vista. Regards,

Hey, thanks.
Running as administrator for just one time solved the problem. Apparently it wanted to create some file on the Program Files directory and, you know, in Vista, this is protected. Later invocations ran all well as a regular user. |
