noProtection (website with information about protections)

Hello everyone,

Lately I had the idea to make a website, where users can submit information about programs and their protection options or cracking remarks. I had some old data management sources and I started developing this platform.

It seems to turn out quite well (except for the downtime of the host last days) and I can now present you the website.

The features:
- Simple list with Program name (+ version), Protection name (eg: Enigma, MD5, ZProtect) and the contributor name
- Clickable program name, which shows you a spoiler with more (optional) information (Program website, protection + version, Protection options and comments
- user/pass login with md5 hashed pass, will get sha soon
- simple User control panel where you can change your password
- easy edit button next to all your entries when you're logged in
- add release 'button' with simple forms and no complicated stuff
- simple rss, which shows the last 15 entries
- sort option (click to sort ascending, click again to sort descending)

Planned:
- compiler + compiler version (optional) fields
- registration (currently not possible due security issues)
- more advanced rss with tag support (eg: protection=md5)
- anonymous (for users) addition of entries

Website URL (sorry if it's down, Im searching a better webhost): http://noprotection.tk

Greetings,

Mr. eXoDia

PS Just post/pm for an account and tell me if this is a good idea

agree. btw, too much of target's spoiler are not going to make it interesting.

In the future, maybe we will need a search function.

Some updated:

Quote:

There were problems with the webhost and I lost all my MySQL entries so I had to restore the site. It should now (approximately) be done and the site is up&running (+ I'm making weekly backups of the database now)

Old address (will get working in max 48 hours): http://noprotection.tk
Temp. address (will be removed): http://noprotection.juplo.com

I managed to restore (almost) all users and the password has been reset to the one you recieved from me per PM.

Lastly: I added anonymous submission of entries (you and admins will see who posted the entry for security reasons)

Greetings,

Mr. eXoDia

PS Somewhere this week more features will be added...

Hey everyone,

I managed to fully restore the previous data entries. Same with the users, you password is still reset though.

Greetings

Do you mean something is lost? I have a total of 3 entries from your hand in my database..

deepzero 03-06-2013 23:29

i think it's more like a status update. ;)
Glad you're back.

mr.exodia 03-06-2013 23:35

@deepzero: thanks for the clarification. I now make almost daily backups of the site (just some php in the admin panel) so data loss won't happen anytime soon.

Greetings

Is it no problem now.
Nothing is lost, just my password was reset.

I have no idea how to use this site.
But it might be helpful if I see my target is cracked by other member, I can ask him for hint and advise.

mr.exodia 03-07-2013 14:35

@ZeNiX: the main idea is just to provide protection options and targets with a certain protection. I could add some kind of pm system, but it's not actually supposed to turn into some kind of requesting system.

Gmax 03-07-2013 21:37

This site if it continues it will help many interested parties practice the Unpacking
Because it is ready to sign programs and protections
If I can I want to participate with what I find myself

Gmax 03-08-2013 02:25

Hi My Bro Mr.Exodia Supposed to be there a selection process in order not to repeat the same program two

mr.exodia 03-08-2013 02:52

@Gmax: nope, there is not.. protections can update, but just use ctrl+f to check if a program is already in the list.

Greetings
