TrueCrypt project closed
 

I am not sure if everybody know about it but famous project TrueCrypt has been closed. Probably "Big Brother" finaly find out that this piece of software is very good coded and too strong even for their decryption capabilities ;)

Domain name, website and all official download link has been removed. Only remain "new final" release v7.2 which is limited only for decryption and who knows maybe it contain some "spyware".

If you want to save last good known copy and source code (v7.1a) try this website where is located temporary old official website.
I hope in future someone will continue work on this excellent project.

Thanks, Jump, for pointing out this issue, even if the official reason was the dismiss of Windows XP and the uselessness of TC since it is integrated in the new versions of Microsoft OSes.
A rather poor reason, anyway, since even unzippers and burning programs are integrated, but I cannot leave without 7zip or ImgBurn!.

It is not integrated into MS OSes because the last has own BitLocker product, which was TC competitor. Also, TC was open source project. Now some Switzerland team announced TC support and development.
