I would like to talk about buying a license of IDA Pro + Hex-Rays plugin's for our community,i have found a reverser who sells IDA Pro 6.4 + Hex-Rays x86 1.8 + Hex-Rays ARM 1.8 for 1500$, what you think can we reach this price and buy?


Self-thought: there is a chance that we can get the 6.5 and 1.9 plugins because 6.6 came out and 2.0 for plugins

I think it's pretty cheap. That whole package cost about $6000! But it does depends on how much and how many people we get to do this. Count me in...

This "seller" have legal rights about this software or is just a person who wants to make benefit from a thing that is not his?

Beware of fake "sellers" that sell some leaked/stolen version of IDA. I remember there was always existing such a people, but never heard that some "business" was successfully done inside RE scene... If yes, then it was very private ...

I really really think it is a bad idea to purchase something from an illegitimate seller. For one, you really do not know what you will get or if you will get anything at all. The person could just take the money, send you absolutely nothing, and then disappear and we never hear from them again. They also could have taken one of the public versions and hex edited the version number to say 6.4. If we really consider doing something like this, we should purchase from either hex rays directly or from one of their certified resellers. It is better to pay $7000 and know what we are getting than to pay $1500 and risk getting nothing at all.

This is a scammer. Money disables the mind... some people would do everything for 1500$.
