History of the Chinese Cracking Scene

Hi there.

As I grow older and feeling more nostalgic, I find that I am more attracted to the historical aspect of our *ahem* "trade". While the history of the western "branch" of the trade is sufficiently documented (if one considers archaeological artefacts such as BBS docs and a couple of dedicated articles sufficient documentation), little is known about the history of the "eastern" branch. Sure, there is a lot of knowledge diffusion during the later years, but i was always impressed with the feats of some of the earlier Eastern "colleagues". Unfortunately, language was always a barrier into communicating with them or learning about them (and I can't claim that Google Translate has significantly contributed for this barrier to be lifted).

So, how the Chinese scene got started?
Who (persons, groups) had the greatest influence over the years?
Who are major players nowadays?

I don't know who started the Chinese Interest, but today I think its all Russian. but at least they reply not like other forums.

I mean com' on guys, if you refer some forums back in 2000's, people where so active and now you will see tons of view to crack announcements.

No one is that interested in the process or learning. I mean where are our SCENE guys, its really sad.

And not to mention all tools are for XP(Thank God, I hate tools/scripts anyway. It hurts my brain), yeah you've heard it. so nothing that works today. Are you telling its over with XP?

I would think most grew up, had families got jobs and lost time.. A lot of the tools have source code so update for newer o/s.. there is scylla, x64dbg, an updated UIF which works for elimination. Heaps of old tools have source code too but most don't like to play with assembly coding wise..
