PowerDVD 4.0 & anti-sice tricks
 

hi,
anyone knows howto remove those anti-ice tricks that avoid me from playing DVD while sice is running?
where can I start from ??

Perhaps u might try using icedump with /protect on feature or patches (works with driverstudio v2.7) from file attached.

There's a simpler way....

Just delete from the Autoexec.bat the SoftIce initialization line. This will keep SoftIce from loading at start up. But make a backup, so when you want to use SIce you can replace the Autoexec.bat without SIce initialization with the one that has it.

if your using xp or 2k, then just ask sice to start manually - but hacking the program concerned and taking out the sice detection code is always more fun.

thanks for having replyied, but if I apply that patch, I can't use icedump I suppose since NTice.sys is beign modified right?

There are a lot of soft that can hide SoftIce.
Try this one:

How can you hide softice in windows 2000? Winice is for Melennium en Frogs ice is for 95,98 and Me.
