Not sure if anyone else does this.. I hate vm-crap-code .sections in files (Winlicense) I unpack and wanted to automate solution: https://github.com/Fyyre/secrep

This is a great (and not so easy) work! Congratulations!

In the unpacker PECompact tool I included such a task, also in the ARImpRec import rebuilding tool, when minimizing size feature is chosen. I find it funny :cool:

Thank you! I made this program primarily because I got sick and tired of Winlicense binaries, after I unpack them... having multiple sections combined into one, or.. being unable to remove the 'VM junk section' and not break say, the exceptions directory, etc.. removing the 'vm junk section' certainly reduces the amount of initial analysis time for IDA =)

I admittedly didn't know ARImpRec did such a task, but that's very cool! I assume the motivations were similar!
