How to restore files

Windows File protection restores MS protected files from DLLCache if they are missed in System32 or other folder. I would like to empty DLLCache and restore them to DLLCache from System32.

Is it possible to say that my installation folder is System32? So windows would not ask for intallation CD? This is to minimize HD image.

Actually google is ur best friend. Is this what u looking for?

Delete all files in Dllcache but not the folder itself.
Then edit this file -> %windir%\system32\restore\filelist.xml (remove read only attrib)

----EDIT---

PCHealthProtect>
<VERSION>1.0</VERSION>
<DEFTYPE>E</DEFTYPE>
<FILES>
<Exclude>
<REC>%windir%\explorer.exe</REC>
</Exclude>

<DIRECTORIES>
<Exclude>
<REC>%WINDIR%</REC>

--EDIT---

Use SFC.exe

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly...
You should be able to do that using SFC /PURGECACHE switch :)

Quote:

SFC [/SCANNOW] [/SCANONCE] [/SCANBOOT] [/CANCEL] [/ENABLE] [/PURGECACHE] [/CACHE
SIZE=x] [/QUIET]

/SCANNOW Scans all protected system files immediately.
/SCANONCE Scans all protected system files once at the next boot.
/SCANBOOT Scans all protected system files at every boot.
/CANCEL Cancels all pending scans of protected system files.
/QUIET Replaces all incorrect file versions without prompting the user.

/ENABLE Enables Windows File Protection for normal operation
/PURGECACHE Purges the file cache and scans all protected system files immed
iately.
/CACHESIZE=x Sets the file cache size
