Using the same method, you should be able to view any Volume label(s) for DVD/CD's inserted in the drive without resorting to 3rd party software, a bonus if this is just a one-off thing that needs to be done.

There is also no harm in getting to know your computer on a lower level, performing tasks manually that are able to be done instead of relying on a canned solution.
