yes I did this, see below

vendor_hostid.obj: $(SRCDIR)\vendor_hostid.c
$(CC) $(CFLAGS) -I../h $(SRCDIR)\vendor_hostid.c

but for some reason the compiler does not create vendor_hostid.obj
