I have discovered a way to get this forum to load faster when the server is having a slow day. The web browser Opera has a feature called Opera Turbo that allows websites to load faster on a slow connection by loading the site on their server and compressing it before transferring it to you.

Today, the forum was not loading for me. I had tried connecting for several hours without success. Once I enabled this option, the forum actually loaded faster than it would on a good server connection day. I hope this helps a few of you access the forum better.

Yep, opera is the best, and opera turbo is great future. I'm using it, and everything pretty good !

When the forum is not accessible at all it's often the fault of the nameserver. You can check this by accessing http://exetools.com. It that page works, but http://forum.exetools.com not, you can edit your hosts file with the correct IP for the forum. Just add the below line in your hosts file and remove the comment when the nameserver doesn't respond.

# 222.92.105.26 forum.exetools.com

The forum is usually really fast when the nameserver is down, since there won't be 50 search engine bots online downloading the whole forum.

I view this forum always fast in my office, but slow in home. I will test this method when back to home.
