The songs/sounds you need are those that can change your brain waves towards alpha waves. This is to increase calmness, inspiration & problem solving. Examples of music genres: pop, funk, blues, jazz, lo-fi, folk, chanson, classic, ambient, etc.

It is very difficult to get ideas/inspiration in solving problems if you play music genres like death metal.

So you raise a valid point. But humans cannot be solving problems all of the time. We have physical and mental limitations. Sometimes we must really focus and solve problems. At other times we are on autopilot executing that solution we already came up with. So music that produces dopamine or provides energy does have a place and purpose. Like anything in life, there is a balance that leads to success. And there is truly wisdom in realizing human limitation and optimizing within such a framework. It leads to more productive and constructive work environments. Sometimes I use coffee and a simple coding exercise to get alert and focused, then I turn off the music and settle in to solve a hard problem. I imagine most people here have various things they do relating to sleep, diet and drinks, exercise, music, relax time, etc that enable their productivity. So I take a more multidimensional view on music, which doesn't take away from what you stated, but adds a broader perspective.
