Thumbs up UnPack.cn call to vote

Hello to everyone,
Sad new that UnPacn will be closed are now true and its a matter of time untill everythin on that site will be deleted.
These days when RCE community loosing its best Teams, Sites and Interest are very real and in very near future there is threat that all valuable RCE stuff will be gone and forgoten.
This is my try to at least save something for history.

We need to respect ZeNiX decision of closing the Unpack.cn and making it legend, but there is no history without a storry, or legend without statue.

As a former member of UnPack.cn i think that i have right to voice and oppinion about future of UnPack.cn data and information hosted.

Here by i call everyone to vote, becasue this may affect UnPack.cn administrator to think again and at least make public copy of site and give chance to information hosted be availave for intelect.

Best Regards,
BeoWulf

Site's like these are huge milestones in the reversing community and serve as homes to some of the most amazing people, tutorials, and various other information. It'd be a shame to see another forum lost and just deleted because of 1 person making a final decision. It is understandable that people need to move on and do other things and not all things can last forever, but something like this should be released publicly.

Several other sites in the past have just closed, sometimes without warning, and all information was lost because 1 administrator did not bother caring about their community. Would hate to see this happen the same way.

Obviously closing unpack.cn was a hard decision. I think a database dump (obviously with sensitive data removed) would benefit the community. I do think it would be quite impossible to upload since the forum is very big

Well if there was space for HT dump, certainly there will be for Unpack.cn
More and more users are voting for public dump. I think that we all are willing to help administrators to make this public.
Im really putting my hopes that this poll will make administration to reconsider their's final decision.

It is not a decision of 1 person only.
Well, yes, just few persons.

I wrote a short story here.

Sad news but this is life.
Exetools was going in same direction before new rules have come up.
I know the feeling described in ZeNiX posts like you share some stuff and you find your stuff in sale on other sites. Some users from here are still doing this today.
Now i see that the things are on hold.
In genere in last few years the RE domain is in free fall because the new generation is not as good as last one -with few exception ofcourse.
And one more reason is that we are at a turning point.
The CPU architecture is changing from X86 to mainly X64.
The mobile world is taking his share..etc...

many time and energy used to make informations in reversing fields in some forums .
and those finding is valueable like child .
how can you kill your child ?

be more kindly with earth ( energy ) and your past !

those finding must transfer to new generations .
think those finding like health information . those are human resualts .
