There are a lot of links on the web to 16c84 and the lock bits.
I mentioned the 16c84 as a reference to where the idea possibly came from. The actual question is regarding the 16f84 and the simple answer is no, sorry. Regards NTFreak |

There was some solutions with extended temperature ranges (overheating and cooling down to -60 C), combined with incorrect power supply, but you must own many chips - success is in best case 50/50 (i'll not write about the worst case
). However, this solution applies to "f" series devices too. I'm not tried this method by myself ... P.S. As said before, there is not possible to 'skip' security byte, this 'byte' is hardware structure, not a memory location. Last edited by dedificator; 05-20-2004 at 17:14. |

ehhh,...
It is easy to play if you protect some pic and it is not big deal if you chrash or delet data inside of it, but any smart solution if you buy some interface, dongle or something eles which you wan to read.....
so any of sw which can detect is it fuse protect, only read protect or how many solution it have...for start and is it diferent solution for diferent pretect(he,he)... Yes I know it is hard, but we are here to discuse about it! People tahx for answer! regards hrco! |

There was some solutions but very close to chip destruction - and does not work for every chip. It's a combination of rise/drop VDD and chip reading. Check elektroda.
