SoftICE Symbol Load problem...

Hi,

I do not know what this problem with SoftICE is. When I try to open a packed exe file by SoftICE 4.3.1 Symbol Loader from Compuware DriverStudio 3.2, it opens module completely but I have problem with Load Module. Debugger shows an error message:

An error occured during symbol translation/load. Load executable anyway?

_______Yes_______No

When I click "Yes", it runs exe file without Stop at OEP .
I have already ticked "Stop at &WinMain, Main, DllMain, etc." in Option->Debugging.

By the way, SoftICE work perfectly with normal EXE, which not packed by protector. And also it works with some packed files by simple packer such as UPX. But does not work with advance packer (protector) for instance, ASProtect, ACProtect, SVKProtect. And just run packed file! no come to SoftICE black screen...

I would be glad if someone could help me.

I could advice you to use Break and Enter function in LordPE or PETools to break on EP. AFAIK these tools don't fail.
