SDProtector Key
SDProtector (www.sdprotector.com) create a key "SDProtect" in HKRY_USERS that nativa Api don't delete!

Rammer created and published a crackme, named Reggie on Crackmes.de. It uses this technique, create a unreadable key at HKLM\SOFTWARE\Reggie\isRegistered.
