God, our Creator

The death of our beloved Mauro ,

recalls our human condition

and the brevity of our lives on earth.

But for those who believe in your love

death is not the end,

nor does it destroy the bonds

that you forge in our lives.

We share the faith of your Son's disciples

and the hope of the children of God.

Bring the light of Christ's resurrection

to this time of testing and pain

as we pray for Mauro and for those who love him

through Christ our Lord. Amen

The passing of a loved one is always difficult for the living who remain behind. Often for the departed it is an end of discomfort and suffering. In that sense it is a blessing, though it is not easy at this time to view it in that light.

Remember that Mauro is not "gone" in the sense that he remains in your hearts and was a part of your lives, and his influence and memory will be carried on in the way your chose to live your own lives from this point forward.

In all religious tradition of which I am aware which ask for prayers for those who have died, it is an act of faith that in death, those who have died have gained the opportunity to transition to a better place and may now rest as one with the diety, by whatever name this may be called.

From this belief, the living find and should take comfort, for it is only through this passage that this transition may occur. No matter how much the moment may seems sad for those who remain behind to make this journey at a future time, do not forget the peace your brother may now share and find joy in that thought.

Find focus and joy in the life that was shared and peace in your faith that this is not the end, but only a new beginning.

Regards,

Hi!

My brother was 25 years old when he suddenly died almost 2 years ago, no real explanation to his death, no warning that he might leave, he just left during the night, never to return.

I am still haveing a very hard time without him...

But I take comfort in some things.

Before he left he had met the love of his life, he was at a peek in his life, he was happy the last time I saw him alive, and I got to share his joy and future plans and despite our dugin sibling rivalty and stormy history, I for once supported something he would choose for himself and that was important to him.

It makes it so much crueler he was snatched away, but it makes it more bearable at the same time...

I so hope, you got to share your brothers last days, or that you will atleast find the strength to cling to the good things he stood for. The good things you might have shared. And cling on to the other people he left behind.

I don't think the pain will ever leave, and it will have to take it's time, but you will laugh again, maybe even at the same time you are crying, and your happy times will stretch longer and longer as time passes.

I will pray for him, and you! I share your grief!

/Manko
