Question string securoty

Thank for the great resource board!

I had a vb6 program with some string varaible and constants in code.....the values is visibel and can edit in my hex editor..........now how can secure it and what encryption/packing tool???? Pls help

First, compile in P-code.
then, compress exefile with a compressor that you can't find any unpacker for.
I'm using Petite since it's not easy to unpack.
but, remember if someone want to crack it, they will.
(If you can write code, some one can rip your code)

what???? petite? this is the easiest one after UPX and Aspack

hehehe,

I agree with MaRKuS,
Petite is very very easy to unpack.

@hunter2002
check out the tutorial section to see how easy,
also there are unpackers for Petite everywhere on the net

Unpacking is not hard but has to be done manually.
The best protector is one that no one
has unpacked before = Doesn't exist??

So, since my reply got your attention...
What protector is the best to use?

Hi, here is a file compressed with petite.
Unpetite could not decompress the file

So, is there a new version around?

Ohh... file is vb 6.0 P-code
