Microsoft Proudcts Key Generation
Hi,
Let's say I have a microsoft product called "Pimpa" (invented...can be any) Let's say I have a original key(bought) and i want to have another(generated) key to give it to a friend. I read documents about MSKeys4in1 and Microsoft key control. Afaik the check is done by the PidGen.dll. The program/setup program sends the serial number to the PidGen.dll that throws "ok" if the number is correct or "kill the enemy" or whatsoever if the number is wrong, so kinda true/false statement. (In installshield installations it should return two custom values though). I have the product pidgen and now i have two options but beeing an newbie in this kind of things i post them here so maybe someone more skilled can help me. 1. Try to produce a valid key following the MSKeys4in1 document, but a) Is this applicable to ALL microsoft products or only to windows os? 2. Try to bruteforce with loads of valid keys the PidGen.dll untill i get a valid key. BUT: a) Can someone tellme how i get the function to call from the bruteforce application to verify the numbers? Look in export table? b) How can i know yes value and no value? Debugging? c) Can i with a valid key try to forge another valid key? d) I remember that at the beginning there was a bruteforcer for windows 2k3 server. Can that work, substituting the win2k3 server pidgen with the "pimpa" or whatsoever pidgen? DOES SOMEONE HAVE IT OR CAN ATTACH HERE, IF IT CAN BE USED? CAN YOU ALSO ATTACH THE MSKEY4IN1 DOCUMENT PACK SINCE I LOST IT IN HEAD CRASH OF MY HD? Thanks in advance to everyone that can enlight me on this sunbject. Last edited by TmC; 10-14-2005 at 10:05. |
