I'm mot so clear about your question.
Any way the names may be appeared in different manner 'coz they are named by different security companies.
ie. the virus MS Blaster - A is called
W32.blaster.A by symantec and W32.Lovasan.A by AVG.

What I mean is I have Giant antispyware and Trojan remover installed in my computer, does anyone of the application's does the same job ie. detect spyware and trojan. If it does the same job then do you think it is neccessary to have two of this app. to installed, or just one of it. Hope you are clear now. Thanks.

spyware == an application that normally records the usage behaviour
and reports its findings back
like a browser helper object or like a layered service provider dll
and thier likes
they are a nuisence to have running not destructive or doesnt tend to perform illegal actions

while a trojan is a program that masquerades as a beningn (harmless )application but can be used for destructive purposes and illegal purposes
by the one who installs it in your system
for example a trojan can turn your system into a denial of service robot
which floods a site with numerous requests in order to deny the
regular user a chance to visit the site

so an application that basicallly targets trojans wont remove applications that are spywares and an application which targets spywares wont remove trojans
though there will always be some applications which are amphibious
that is they may be classified as a trojan and spyware also in the same breath

hmm

they have own subject specialization. antivirus good for remove trojan and virus but bad for removing spyware(cookies, etc). Trojan Remover and spyware remover r abit different, like antivirus matter trojan remover only for trojan removal(able to remove spyware, but their spyware database not to good and not optimized) and spyware remover can remove trojan but not optimized to do that.

sum recommended soft:
Antivirus
Code:
Kaspersky Antivirus
NOD32
MKS Antivirus
Fprot
Trojan Remover
Code:
Pestpatrol
Simplysup Trojan Remover
Trojan Depender
The Cleaner
Trojan Hunter
Spyware Remover
Code:
Webroot Spysweeper
Pestpatrol
Ad-Aware
sorry for bad english
just my opinion

Personally, I think there is one major thing that will cut down on spyware + ad-aware:
MOZILLA FIREFOX!
www.mozilla.org

FireFox helps termendously with spyware, because it's alot more secure than Micro$ofts Internet Disaster.

Also, Kaspersky Anti-Virus has an option (extended Database), and it will scan for riskware, pornware, ad-ware, spyware, etc...
Ad-Aware SE Pro is also good.

I havn't had a virus in over 1 1/2 years, since I got kaspersky, but i've found near 80+ nasty viruses, including the sasser worm (BTW, their's a new explot of it going around!), Blaster / Lovesan, and alot of other dangerous viruses.

There are also optimized builds of FireFox at

h**p://www.moox.ws/tech/mozilla/firefox.htm

Be sure to check which Mx version is for your CPU

h**p://www.moox.ws/tech/mozilla/mdefs.htm

Build M3 is for Pentium 4.

Moox does seem to be faster at rending most things than the stock Firefox build, and it's definitely faster on a warm start. But it's slower on a cold start than standard Firefox. Go figure. More surprisingly, Opera actually loads faster than IE on a cold start. I'd really like to know how they accomplished that, even though I don't really care for Opera.
