VB app + XP says no fonts installed?

Just installed SlideShow Ultra (w*w.cmbsoftware.com) under WinXP and the damn program says I have no fonts installed and quits with runtime error 24574: no fonts exist! I bloody well do have fonts installed or else how have I typed this message?

I can't figure this out, although the hardcoded serial was easy to find

Any VB Gurus out there know what could cause this? Maybe some different VB runtime dll's/ocx's needed?

No it's nothing like that r3L4x, I have had this program working but that was before I reinstalled XP the other day. The font requester displays a list of all fonts to use similar to most programs that allow you to change fonts, except now that requester just doesn't work and crashes the app.

It does have a default font, but you can't change the styles/size!

Also, I ran it under Win98SE and the same problem occured?
