Steamworks API and drm tools
Recently VALVE software opened (maybe by accident) to registered steam users their partners API website. This is somehow connected with their recent jira leaks.
If you got steam account you can download package by logging in here: https://partner.steamgames.com In package there are: steam api for developers (also guys who are developing custom steam emulators to know new functions) and drm tools known as steamstub. Specially interesting is: sdk\tools\drm\Release\drmunpackp.dll with it's export to unpack steamstub protected executables: StartUnpack Last edited by memcpy; 07-09-2013 at 02:11. |

Won't this only work with the keys that steamdevs get to encrypt their files or is there something I am missing?

This is the package that every dev get to integrate their games with steam and also to protect them (steamstub packer).
It's usable for steam emulators development and for steam internals research. Tho it's doesn't contain Custom Executable Generation (CEG) |
