Can you explain more clearly for each fields regarding ProductID and ExtraData??
We know that ProductID is generated based on the input ProductKey, how does this QQQQQ get generated? can give an example of its computation?

And for ExtraData, how is 617466716E636E6A756D, 9A251AC0 and "atfqncnjum" related?? basic summing??

Would be very interesting to know that someone can make out what these values are for..

[EDIT JMI: You generally do NOT need to Reply with Quote unless your question is directed to a particular part of the prior post that would not be clear unless you quote a particular part. When your post is immediately after the one you are discussing, this is rearly necessary. This suggestion is made simply because "Quoting" adds volumn to the database and if your question is clear without it, it saves room if you do not quote the prior post again.]

Easy way?

I think an easier way would be to get a keygen (like listed before) to install windows, then change it during activation. If you can't change during activation then you should use something like this:
Code:

Yes...but...

Yes. It's easier to use a keygen.
But it's also funny to understand how the things work ?

QQQQQ is fonction of the time (ie HH:MM) not very interesting.

ExtraData
for example : 617466716E636E6A756D9A251AC0D0
You split in 3 parts
617466716E636E6A756D 9A251AC0 D0
the first part is (in ASCII) "atfqncnjum" DON'T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS
the second part is : 9A251AC0 DON'T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS
the third part is : D0
The sum of each ExtraData is 0x5D0 (so 0xD0 is a sumcheck)

LaDidi or Experts in here,

Why is there a need to break them into 3 parts since the sum of each hex-byte of the string will produce the last byte as checksum??

Where/which articles did you manage to lookup on this 'special' info from?? There're lots regarding PID only..

I did a check for Win2k3 and it's true that by summing each hex-byte together will produce the last byte as a checksum..

Btw, the main question: What's/Where's this ExtraData use for??

I found that it's different for different type of the same release such as SC, TC and Eng are diff in value..

I was wondering if that string has any relation with the product key/id.
