So reverse search intends to find where an image was created?

Digitally created or AI generated images will themselves complicate things as images do not have to have a tie in to the physical world. Also some images are more focused on a specific object than a setting or environment.

I would think that Google maps has a really good database for this. I know that geoguessr game used it and I'd be surprised if someone didn't try to train a model to classify images by location to basically play that game at beyond human capabilities with even a much larger variety of training data.

LLMs do seem well suited for this task also.

It tries to find out who created the images.
AI complicates the picture somewhat but there are also photos uploaded before AI. They can be used to identify uploaders.

I appreciate the links, OSINT resources always helpful.

The best image search engine I've found is PimEyes.. it's subscription though (not cheap...); maybe can find someone who pays for it over at intelx

nvm.. site uses send code to random person's email, was worth a shot ;)

Google Images has it´s own image search engine. Check for Exif info. If you provide the image source i could help-
I am expert in geolocation based on images.
