w32dasm-problem in win2000

Hi
I've tried to debug some programs in w32dasm 8.93 under win2000. The problem I have is that (for example if I'm after to get rid of a nag) when I've run the show and the nag is visible, the "step into"-button always takes me into some .dll (ntdll, user32...) and not the latest jump in the program.

What am I doing wrong?

Thx!

You are actually using the w32dasm debugger :? You deserve what you got, hehehe :P

I'm no fan of this debugger, so I couldn't help -- other than advice you to use softice (or ollydbg even).

steping over as opposed to stepping into.

You should keep track of where you stepped into the DLL, and on your next pass through the execution step over that particular call.

In softice you can load the import symbols and know that you are infact calling a dll.

I also do not use the w32dasm debugger, but I really doubt if it allows you to load the import symbols.
