OMG,

some good fellows will disappear in the mass of mircosoft again. It's a pity that Mark agreed with MS. I think he got a rather good offer....

So the Winternals guy will be able to influence Windows-development directly, their tools (AdminPak, DefragMan, and the small ones) will be released directly by Microsoft - I don't see the problem.

And in a couple of months, they'll probably leave to join Google

ROFL! I hope they do. Screw MS they've destroyed a perfectly good thing (as always if you can't beat 'em, buy 'em). What's going to happen to all the Winternals tools like Recovery Manager v3.x and so fourth? They'll turn to mushy bloated non-functional user unfriendly (or user toofriendly) crap that no one will use. The price is sure to go up a few hundred bucks as well. The free tools will eventually cease to be developed/improved etc..

RIP Mark and friends...

This is probably worse then when Symantec absorbed Sygate Technologies like the blob.
