Hi there,
I know that the version you're talking about is asprotect. I was merely responding to svensk. I got curious about the latest version (which is 3.74 build 0531 - size 576Kbs). The latest version is clearly a very early type of Aspack. I have no idea what the programmers is doing. This is like going 3 years back in time (at least). Maybe he is just trying out new stuff in the program itself and don't bother about security until he is finished wrapping things up.

I know, I was a little bit unclear in my answer. The answer should have been directed to svensk.
I don't think the file you posted is 1.23RC4. PEID says so when I check it, but when I run/trace it using Olly, I can clearly see the patterns in code that you see in the new version. The file/version svensk was asking about is surely an old version of Aspack. hobgoblin |
