How to restore files
Windows File protection restores MS protected files from DLLCache if they are missed in System32 or other folder. I would like to empty DLLCache and restore them to DLLCache from System32.
Is it possible to say that my installation folder is System32? So windows would not ask for intallation CD? This is to minimize HD image. |

Actually google is ur best friend. Is this what u looking for?
Delete all files in Dllcache but not the folder itself. Then edit this file -> %windir%\system32\restore\filelist.xml (remove read only attrib) ----EDIT--- PCHealthProtect> <VERSION>1.0</VERSION> <DEFTYPE>E</DEFTYPE> <FILES> <Exclude> <REC>%windir%\explorer.exe</REC> </Exclude> <DIRECTORIES> <Exclude> <REC>%WINDIR%</REC> --EDIT--- Source: Hardware geeks. And yes I think JMI will lock this topic since this is a cracking forum. ![]() Regards, |

Use SFC.exe
I'm not sure if I understand you correctly...
You should be able to do that using SFC /PURGECACHE switch Quote:
