It resulted in me moving my butt and implementing the Burrows-Wheeler transform in pure MASM32.
Nice, although I guess its indeed hard to get a optimal suffix sort (plenty of research papers on the subject covering it and various approaches of doing the sort). libdivsufsort seems to do a pretty decent job though.
